When it comes to shoes and outfits, Pascalle leaves no room for interpretation. Because good shoes "really do everything" for an outfit.

“A shoe really defines the outfit. A hundred thousand per cent. They make or break. If you put the wrong shoe under a good outfit, your outfit is no longer good either."

Pascalle Swinkels has been a clothing stylist for more than 20 years. She dresses well-known names such as Ewout Genemans, Mart Hoogkamer, Britt Scholte and Ferry Doedens. She does styling for commercial brands and for shoots by Beau Monde. And is closely involved in shoe brand VANLIER and shoe platform DQS. Whatever her customers want, Pascalle shops the best possible outfit for them. And whenever possible, she throws on her signature look.

"A bit of sexiness. That you think: nice outfit. But that's not in a cleavage to the navel. What it does lie in, that's always different. It can be in anything. For example, in material combination or in silhouette combination."

When doing a shoot, it is very important to find an appropriate outfit to go with the shoe. Something that coincides nicely and does not disparage the shoe. We also take into account the atmosphere of the room and what suits the models.

Beforehand, the theme of the shoot is determined to make a selection of shoes. Pascalle then looks for the appropriate outfit and, together with the photographer, the light is adjusted accordingly. A lunch together at noon and before you know it, the day is over.
